In early 2016 I was a resident of Illinois and registered in that state as an investment advisory representative ("IAR"). In mid-2016 I moved to Florida while also keeping my main business office in Illinois, since I was travelling back and forth to see clients. Inadvertently, my IAR registration for Florida was not picked up when I relocated. When my IAR application was submitted to the state of Florida, the error was uncovered and I was fined by the Florida Division of Securities. My IAR registration in Florida has now been approved.
