I categorically deny the allegations in the statement of claim and maintain that they are wholly without merit. For this high-net worth and educated client, I followed suitability protocols and steps required to thoroughly understand this client's financials, goals, needs and risk profile. I solved for the client's most pressing need and established an agreed upon investment plan in 2015. The market pullback that occurred on the last part of 2015 and at the start of 2016 caused the client to distress and exit the investment plan, which in turn caused the client to exercise the alleged loss. From 2016 through 2018, the client's complaint and allegations were denied by the Firm. The Firm eventually decided to settle the case at the end of 2018.
