I ENTERED THE UNIVERSITY BOOKSTORE WITH THE INTENT OF PURCHASING A PEN & SELLING BACK A COUPLE OF TEXTBOOKS. USUALLY, WE WOULD SELL OUR BOOKS BACK AT THE SAME PLACE WE PURCHASED ITEMS, INSIDE, IN THE FRONT OF THE STORE. I NEEDED THE PROCEEDS OF THE BOOK SALE TO PURCHASE THE PEN. I WAS UNAWARE THAT I WAS BEING FOLLOWED BY A SECURITY WORKER, I FOUND OUT THAT I WOULD NEED TO GO OUTSIDE TO SELL BACK MY BOOKS AND I CAME BACK TO PURCHASE THE PEN. THIS IS WHEN I WAS APPROACHED BY THE SECURITY WORKER. GRANTED, I SHOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN THE PEN OUTSIDE THE STORE, BUT I STILL TOOK THE TIME TO GO BACK IN AND PURCHASE IT. THIS OCCURRED ON 3/22/1991. THE CHARGES WERE EVENTUALLY DISMISSED UPON HEARING MY ACCOUNT OF THE SITUATION.
