Broker Comment
In an Order dated July 11, 2019, the Commissioner of Insurance suspended Licensee's insurance producer license for alleged failure to comply with the continuing education requirements during the license cycle August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2018. It was later determined that Licensee did comply with those requirements but that the electronic system utilized by the Alabama Department of Insurance (the "Department") failed to reflect that compliance. Licensee provided evidence of her timely completion of the required continuing education and requested reinstatement of her license. The Licensee and the Department subsequently entered into a Consent Order on August 2, 2019. The Licensee paid a reduced administrative assessment of $250 and acknowledged the terms of the Consent Order. The Department then reinstated the Licensee's insurance producer license to active status.
