Client's Power of Attorney hired an attorney to contact us regarding the 2013 transfer of funds from JNL fixed annuity to Pacific Life fixed annuity. The attorney's letter, dated April 3, 2017, alleges that this transfer was commission-drive and detrimental to the client because the new product has a lower interest rate and longer surrender period. The letter also states that HFSI failed to re-register the client's accounts in her name after the death of her husband.

Client's Power of Attorney hired an attorney to contact us regarding the 2013 transfer of funds from JNL fixed annuity to Pacific Life fixed annuity. The attorney's letter, dated 4/3/2017, alleges that this transfer was commission-drive and detrimental to the client because the new product has a lower interest rate and longer surrender period. The letter also states that HFSI failed to re-register the client's accounts in her name after the death of her husband. The firm conducted a thorough investigation into this matter and concluded that there is no merit to the claim. The firm detailed these findings in a letter to the client's Power of Attorney on June 2, 2017. We consider this matter closed.
