THE CLIENT ALLEGES HE BECAME AWARE OF A TRADE TO PURCHASE A GOVERNMENT BACKED BOND SIMILAR TO ONES ALREADY OWNED. HOWEVER, THE CLIENT WENT ONTO STATE THAT IT WAS NOT A SIMILAR INVESTMENT. ALLEGES DAMAGES, NOT SPECIFIED, BUT BELIEVED TO EXCEED $5,000. (04/01/2007 - 05/01/2009)

THE CLIENT WAS FULLY AWARE THAT THE SECURITY WAS NOT A GOVERNMENT BOND. HE NOT ONLY RECEIVED A PROSPECTUS SINCE THIS WAS A NEW ISSUE, BUT A TRADE CONFIRMATION, MONTHLY STATEMENTS, ETC. THE CLIENT ONLY MADE THESE CLAIMS AFTER THE MARKET DOWNTURN WHEN HIS PRINCIPAL STARTED FALLING, A FULL YEAR AFTER THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE.

INDIVIDUAL CHARGED PERSONAL EXPENSE ON A CORPORATE CREDIT CARD; INDIVIDUAL DEPOSITED CORPORATE EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT IN PERSONAL BANK ACCOUNT.

Arvest Bank gave me purchase order authorization for a Trip to Tampa to satisfy 40 hours of Continuing Education for my Certified Financial Planner(R) designation in the amount of $2000 (for classes and flight/hotel.) FIRM APPROVAL WAS GRANTED I located a less expensive option in St Louis ($300) in which I could drive and save bank funds, and could receive the same hours in only two days. Since I was using Personal Time Off to accomplish these hours, I thought this was a much better option from an expense and time perspective. Allen Morgan, a bank officer, authorized this change in venue & expense. During a routine bank audit, it was brought to my attention that I should have had an Arvest Asset Manager sign off on the change, rather than an Arvest Bank Manager. We had two layers of management, so it was unclear who to have approve this transaction. Due to this technicality, Arvest deemed this trip person in nature. Therefore, I offered to pay for it, and they accepted this solution. I NEVER used or had access to a corporate credit card on behalf of Arvest Bank, as per their complaint. This trip was purchased on a purchase order, both of which I had authorization for. Their complaint is that I chose the wrong bank/investment officer to sign off on the change to the less expensive trip option. We agreed to part ways as a result of this occurrence.
