The client and I decided to wait another week before rolling over his options to a later dated expiration. Shortly after the conversation, the calls were exercised early by the holder of the contracts, and the shares were assigned. Unaware of the early exercise of the option positions, the client sent in an e-mail early in the morning regarding the sale of stock.
