Firm Name
WELLS FARGO ADVISORS FINANCIAL NETWORK, LLC.
Termination Type
Discharged
Allegations
FAILED TO FOLLOW FIRM POLICY REGARDING THE CONTACTING OF CUSTOMERS PRIOR TO EACH TRADE.
Broker Comment
WELLS FARGO ADVISORS INDICATES THAT I WAS TERMINATED BECAUSE I PURPORTEDLY "FAILED TO FOLLOW FIRM POLICY REGARDING THE CONTACTING OF CUSTOMERS PRIOR TO EACH TRADE." I DISAGREE WITH THEIR ALLEGATION. I AM LICENSED AS BOTH AN INVESTMENT ADVISOR REP AND A REGISTERED REP. IN MY PRACTICE, I MEET AND DISCUSS HOLDINGS WITH MY CLIENTS AND, IF NEEDED, MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS ON ADJUSTMENTS TO THOSE HOLDINGS. RARELY DO THESE RECOMMENDATIONS REQUIRE IMMEDIATE IMPLEMENTATION. ACCORDINGLY, AT THE END OF OUR MEETING, I ASK THE CLIENTS TO REVIEW AND THINK ABOUT MY RECOMMENDATIONS. I THEN FOLLOW-UP WITHIN A TWO-WEEK PERIOD AND, IF THE CLIENT AGREES WITH MY SUGGESTIONS, I IMPLEMENT THE RECOMMENDED CHANGES AT THE TIME THE CLIENT AGREES. WELLS FARGO WAS AWARE THAT THIS WAS MY PRACTICE FOR THE ENTIRE TIME I WORKED FOR THEM (IN FACT FOR THE ENTIRE 20 YEARS I HAVE BEEN IN PRACTICE) AND NEVER INDICATED ANY ISSUE WITH IT IN ANY AUDIT PERFORMED ON MY BRANCH. WELLS FARGO NOW INDICATES THAT THE TIME SPAN BETWEEN MY RECOMMENDATION AND THE ACTUAL IMPLEMENTATION WAS TOO LONG, EVEN THOUGH THE CLIENT WAS CONTACTED AGAIN IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO THE TRADE BEING PLACED. BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE DISCRETION ON THE ACCOUNTS, I NEVER PLACED A TRADE WITHOUT FIRST CONTACTING MY CLIENTS AND OBTAINING THEIR AUTHORIZATION.

THIS NEVER WENT TO COURT.
THIS IS A RESULT OF A TAX ISSUE WITH MY EX-HUSBAND. THEY ARE ROLLING UP THE PENALITIES AND ATTACHING TO MY BUSINESS. I DID NOT RECEIVE COPIES OF THE DOCUMENTS MY EX-HUSBAND HAS THEM AND THE ATTORNEY HAS TAKEN OVER.

THESE ARE TAXES THAT MY EX-HUSBAND OWES. I HAVE AN ATTORNEY THAT IS WORKING ON GETTING THE FUNDS FROM HIM. I AM PERSONALLY PAYING MYSELF NOW AND SEEKING THE FUNDS FROM EX-HUSBAND. I DID NOT RECEIVE A NOTICE OF LIEN, WENT TO MY EXHUSBAND.
